Considered by many an anomaly in the design world, Marcel Wanders has made it his mission to "create an environment of love, live with passion and make our most exciting dreams come true". His work excites and provokes at the same time, but never ceases to amaze with its ingenuity and its bold and unusual quest to lift the human spirit and entertain. Marcel Wanders' main interest is to give design a human touch, inaugurating what he calls the 'new era' of design, in which designer, craftsman and recipient are reunited. In his path, Marcel Wanders challenges design dogma, favouring holistic rather than technocratic solutions. In this universe, the coldness of industrialism is replaced by poetry, fantasy and romanticism from different eras, brought vividly to life in the contemporary era.
